A tell tale sign of a bad or malfuncitioning capacitor is that the motor will not start and just hums or will start with the assistance of a tap to the box or the blades. This replacement is slightly more involved as you have to open up the pressure chamber, once there though it is two small screws on junction box to release the wires.
